Game of Thrones S8 is Here and Brands Can’t Stop Playing with Hashtags

For the 1% of people who haven’t watched a single episode of Game Of Thrones and yet. Pissed off by the vast reach of the show, here’s the gist of the once-in-a-lifetime show and how it has invaded our lives. HBO launched Game of Thrones on 17th of April 2011 and there was no turning back after it. Game of Thrones has grown to be one of those once-in-a-lifetime shows that change the world that we live in. The statistics say it all: there are thousands of people naming babies after Game of Thrones characters, and the HBO crossover hit has forever changed economies of major countries. Indeed, it’s mind-blowing when you realize the unpredictable ways Game of Thrones has impacted the real world. HBO just dropped the first episode of GOT Season 8 and from custom Oreos to the king of good times, to just about any other product that you can think of, winter has come to a slew of brands on Instagram, which partnered with HBO to drum up interest in the hit show’s eighth and final season. And if you think you have a sense of just how many, well then, you know nothing, Jon Snow.
